PROSES TINJAUAN SEBAYA
Lentera Journal only publishes original works. Submitted articles first undergo peer review by recognized experts in the field, selected by the Editorial Committee from the journal’s pool of reviewers from various universities.
Steps in the Document Evaluation Process
The evaluation process typically takes around three months:
Step 1: Submission of the original manuscript through the journal’s platform.
Step 2: Acceptance for evaluation by the Journal Publishing Board. At this stage, (1) the editor may reject the manuscript if it does not meet the journal’s thematic and formatting criteria, or (2) initiate the evaluation process by external reviewers.
Step 3: Notification to authors regarding the outcome of Step 2.
Step 4: External review of the original manuscript, taking approximately 20 days.
Step 5: Notification to the journal management of the evaluation results from reviewers.
Step 6: Notification to the authors about the evaluation outcome, including qualitative observations with suggestions and comments to improve their manuscript, as well as quantitative evaluations.

STATEMENT ON PUBLICATION ETHICS AND MALPRACTICE
The Lentera Journal adheres to ethical standards following the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors. All parties involved in the process (editors, reviewers, and authors) are expected to understand and comply with these ethical principles.
The Lentera Journal aims to meet the needs of authors and readers by ensuring the quality of published articles, protecting and respecting all rights related to article content, and maintaining the integrity of all submitted and published works.
The Editorial Board is committed to publishing corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies when necessary. As part of its commitment to best practices, the journal provides a transparent evaluation system for submitted articles and publicly discloses the criteria used in the external peer-review process. These criteria are regularly updated to ensure the scientific relevance, originality, clarity, and significance of published articles.
The Lentera Journal maintains full confidentiality during the evaluation process, protecting the anonymity of authors and external reviewers, the content under review, review reports, and all related communications issued by the editorial, advisory, and scientific boards as required. Strict standards also apply to clarifications, claims, or complaints that authors wish to address to the journal board or any external review.
The journal is committed to maintaining the integrity of all published works and takes a vigilant approach to identifying and sanctioning plagiarism. Any manuscript found to plagiarize published works will either be removed from the journal or barred from publication, depending on the case. The journal will act promptly in all such cases.
By agreeing to the journal’s terms, authors pledge to ensure that submitted articles and all related materials contain only original work and do not infringe on third-party rights. In cases of co-authorship, a clear statement must declare that all authors have approved the manuscript content and that the work has not been previously published in any form.
AUTHORSHIP
Authors submitting articles for publication must ensure that the material they submit to Lentera Journal is original and does not include fragments of work published by themselves or other authors. By submitting a manuscript, authors also guarantee the accuracy of the data presented, which should not be altered to validate experimental hypotheses or proposed theories.
Authors must ensure that the consulted materials during their article preparation are current and relevant to their field of research.
They should clearly identify all individuals who contributed significantly to the conceptual design, planning of the research, interpretation of results, and writing of the article. The list of authors should be arranged hierarchically to reflect each author’s level of responsibility and role in the research.
All authors share responsibility for the content of the manuscript.
PEER REVIEW
Reviewers are required to provide a critical, constructive, and unbiased assessment of submissions and complete their evaluations as quickly as possible to meet evaluation process deadlines.
Manuscripts are only assigned to reviewers with the necessary expertise in the relevant field and who are not affected by any conflicts of interest.
Reviewers must submit a complete and thorough report, including necessary references, following the evaluation process requirements and applicable public standards, especially when rejecting submissions.
Reviewers should ensure they have no conflicts of interest regarding the research presented in the article, the authors, and the funding sources for the project.
